༻❁ Natural Dyeing ❁༺

For over three years, I’ve worked with natural dyes, including nearly two years of dedicated material and ethnographic research within the Bulgarian context and landscape.

My natural dye practice:

✽ is shaped by close attention to local plants and ecologies, seasonal rhythms, and the histories embedded in this craft tradition

✽ is rooted in experimentation and a deep study of place

✽ spans the techniques of immersion dyeing, bundle dyeing, and eco-printing on textiles and paper

•────✦❀ Public Workshops ✦────•

Similar to other traditional forms of knowledge, natural dyeing has been on a rapid decline in Bulgaria over the last decades. I view an important part of my work as sharing this knowledge, bringing it into a sense of greater collective care.

I offer occasional workshops, both independently and in collaboration with other organizations and spaces. These workshops are invitations to slow down and connect with plants and natural color through embodied experimentation. Participants learn hands-on dye skills while also gaining insight into local dye plants, seasonal cycles, historical practices, and contemporary ecological thinking.

The most up-to-date info on these can be found on my Instagram.

I also offer private workshops for events, educational programs, team-building retreats, and more. Sessions can be thoughtfully tailored to your group — from foraging walks and full-process natural dye immersions to playful, quick eco-print sessions on paper.

Workshops can take many forms and are adaptable in depth and duration:
  • Short-format sessions (1.5–3 hours): accessible eco-printing or bundle dye experiences, ideal for team-building events, parties, or creative retreats.
  • Half- or full-day immersions: deeper exploration of immersion dyeing, material preparation, and process.
  • Multi-day or research-based formats: ideal for educational institutions, art programs, museums, or organizations seeking a more rigorous engagement with craft history, sustainability, and material culture.
  • Foraging + dye sessions: guided plant walks followed by hands-on dye work, grounded in seasonal and site-specific learning.

I design each workshop in conversation with the host — whether the focus is hands-on making, historical context, sustainability discourse, or collaborative team experience.

༻❁One-on-One Work

For those seeking focused guidance, I also offer one-on-one mentorship sessions. These personalized classes are shaped around your curiosities, material interests, and creative goals, whether you're just beginning or refining an established practice.
